Custom organic synthesis

We are glad that we now offer dependable & high quality custom-made organic chemicals. In close cooperation with a chemical manufacturer we are able to synthesize detection reagents and analytical substances to meet your specific research needs.

The substance expertise ranges from synthesis of amines to xanthogic acid esters, in particulary:

Custom immobilization

If you are interested in an immobilized enzyme, which is not available as stock item, please contact us for custom immobilization. More than 10 years of experience in immobilizing enzymes allows us to offer this special service at very attractive conditions.

For an accurate quote we need to know enzyme quantity and the matrix specification. We offer two different immobilization matrices: F7m and G3m. F7m has large pores resulting in a high enzyme activity on the matrix whereas the G3m has small pores resulting in a lower enzyme activity. Choosing the right matrix depends also on the substrate concentration and substrate volume. For more information please download our compact reaction column handbook.

The immobilization costs do not include the costs for the target enzyme itself. The enzyme can be provided by the customer or be purchased by MoBiTec and added to your invoice. After immobilization we do not perform enzyme activity tests. Some enzymes are not immobilizable or can loose its activity upon immobilization thus we cannot give a guarantee. Delivery time will be approximately 15-20 days after we having received your order.

Custom cDNA Library Construction

cDNA expression libraries are essential tools used in a wide range of applications, including the yeast two-hybrid system. High-quality libraries containing a large fraction of full-length inserts and having a high complexity are essential to achieve useful results in a yeast two-hybrid screen. Yet, constructing a cDNA library of sufficient quality for screening can be difficult and very time-consuming.

To make you available exactly that cDNA library you want to screen, we offer customized construction services for cDNA libraries. Libraries are constructed for the conventional yeast two-hybrid systems, for our Y2H Membrane Protein System or using a vector of your choice.

Service procedure

You decide from which tissue you would like to have a cDNA library constructed. You may either provide us with your own cells, tissue or RNA (please contact us to discuss quality requirements) or alternatively - we may buy the RNA for you.

We construct the cDNA library, starting from total RNA or polyA+-RNA.

• Oligo(dT)- and/or random hexamer-primed cDNA synthesis
  
• Libraries are made in pGAD-HA (yeast two-hybrid libraries) or in pNubG vectors (Y2H Membrane Protein System libraries)
  
• More than 2x10⁶ independent clones
  
• More than 90% of clones contain inserts
  
• Average insert size > 1.5 kb
  
• The time of construction depends on the source of the RNA and is usually between 6 and 8 weeks.
  

Once construction is completed, you receive

• A library datasheet describing construction details and quality of the cDNA library
  
• 500 µg of purified cDNA library plasmid (sufficient for 5 screening rounds)
  
• Glycerol stocks for later amplification of the library
