All libraries have average insert sizes > 1.5 kb and complexities > 2x10⁶ independent clones. Libraries are supplied as 200 µg purified plasmid DNA, ready for yeast transformation. This amount is sufficient for 5 screens.

The cDNA libraries for the Y2H Membrane Protein System may be constructed in two orientations: NubG-x and x-NubG.

NubG-x libraries express fusions of NubG to the N-terminus of the prey. They are suitable for identifying cytosolic proteins or Type II integral membrane proteins as binding partners.
x-NubG libraries express fusions of NubG to the C-terminus of the prey. They are suitable for identifying cytosolic proteins or Type I integral membrane proteins as binding partners.

Other cDNA Libraries for Conventional Yeast Two-Hybrid Screens

The cDNA libraries listed below express cDNAs as fusions to the GAL4 activation domain. They can be used with most commercially available yeast two-hybrid systems (see Conventional Yeast Two-Hybrid Vectors). Libraries have been carefully constructed from polyA+-RNA and rigorously tested with regard to quality. The prey vector used for library construction is pGAD-DS .

Libraries are delivered as 2 x 100 µg purified plasmid DNA, ready for yeast transformation. This amount is sufficient for 7 screens.
